Minor updates to UI elements #78

These are a collection of small fixes to UI elements that had been annoying me.

The menus that list components have been lengthened, so the user doesn't have to scroll as often.
The total width of the file upload widget now matches that of text boxes, across browsers.
The font color in droplists now matches that in text boxes.
The top navbar has been cleaned up and its CSS simplified.

I also considered storing browser information in the data manager, but reconsidered, since this information can be retrieved from GWT at any time.
