@slim-codes thank you for this PR. What do you think of suggesting Codespaces instead? What are the advantages and disadvantages of either approach?

I've actually compare both methods in the past and the most outstanding difference was in terms of speed. Gitpod is very much quicker in starting up work-spaces and it uses fewer resources too.
Gitpod is Open Source and uses Kubernetes while Codespaces is not free and is based on Virtual Machines
Gitpod supports Multiple IDEs, Codespaces does not. (VSCode is the default IDE for both)
