Acceptance Tests

Test Case 1: Verify Password Reset Functionality

• Go to the login page and click on the forgot password button at the bottom. (Link)
• Verify that it asks for your email and type in the correct email associated with your account and click submit.
• Verify that a message pops up stating "You receive a link on your email if your email is associated with an account."
• Check your email inbox for a password reset link.
• Click on the link and verify it takes you to the password reset tab.
• Enter a valid new password, enter it again for confirmation, and click submit.
• Verify that a message pops up stating " You have successfully changed your password".

Test Case 2: Wrong email Address

• Go to the login page and click on the forgot password button at the bottom. (Link)
• Verify that it asks for your email and type in an incorrect email associated with your account and click submit.
• Verify that a message pops up stating "You receive a link on your email if your email is associated with an account."
• Check your email and verify that there is no password reset link that was sent.

Test Case 3: Valid Email Format

• Go to the login page and click on the forgot password button at the bottom. (Link)
• Verify that it asks for your email and type in an incorrect email without the @ symbol.
• Verify that a message pops up that states " Please include an @ in the email address".

Test Case 4: Verify Old password stills works if never changed

• Go to the login page and click on the forgot password button at the bottom. (Link)
• Verify that it asks for your email and type in the correct email associated with your account and click submit.
• Verify that a message pops up stating "You receive a link on your email if your email is associated with an account."
• Don't click on the password reset link.
• Try to log in again with the correct password and username.
• Verify that it lets you log in with that password.

Test Case 5: New Password cannot be an old password

• Go to the login page and click on the forgot password button at the bottom. (Link)
• Verify that it asks for your email and type in the correct email associated with your account and click submit.
• Verify that a message pops up stating "You receive a link on your email if your email is associated with an account."
• Check your email inbox for a password reset link.
• Click on the link and verify it takes you to the password reset tab
• For the new password, type in your old password.
• Verify that a message pops up saying ' New password cannot be old password"
