Tasklist for OWeek #16

We should draft up a bunch of tasks that need to be knocked over before OWeek starts. If we are trying this out during OWeek, it's going to be just CSESOC's stall, right?

I'm thinking:

Client -- do we want a phone or a laptop-attached reader as before? Latter would be easiest. Make it resilient to failure.
Get swipe uploading working (with simple auth, auth_token-based for now (event codes can come later)).
Get a basic webface (just displaying swipes) working.

Definitely laptop. A working phone proof of concept would be a large undertaking, a robust client doubly so.
Swipe uploads, definitely. We can hard code the event and the group, even, for testing purposes.
Agreed on the basic web. Richard was working on something, I believe...

There was also talk of checking people's programs to verify society membership (ie all CS, SE, CE and BiomE are CSESoc). That seems like a bit of a side branch though.

Ok, confirmation from higher up the chain:

Soft launch on Monday at the CSESoc stall. This will give us a chance to check everything works as planned, and non-technical (relatively speaking) people can grasp the concept
Official launch on Friday at the CSESoc BBQ. This is the data that will actually matter.

I think we're well on track to achieving both those things.
