From the 1978 book, Top of page 6, add { } to code snippet present in book, the text at the end of the page, "The braces { } enclose the statements that make up the function;". Indent lines, same as end of page 7, multiline example { } , indents, and remove spaces in printf (.

Stephen - we are not going to "clean up" the original style of the code unless we have to to make it compile.
