Thanks for creating a PR!

However, you haven't described any of your changes, what they entail, and whether they are backwards compatible (ie. with old configs).

You also seem to have applied an auto-formatter that makes this ~2k line diff nearly impossible to review.

If you want to apply a linter, please create a separate PR -- do not combine all these changes together.
