• Updated dead links, hyperlinks (http to https, when possible) and prevented redirects.
• Added Jira as a tool and "kanban" phrasing in 4.3 (as an fyi, Jira does have a free tier - Trello and Jira are both owned by Atlassian now, so not sure if another alternative would be better?)
• Minor change in companion text with the DiagrammeR gantt code example
• Consistent section/chapter referencing
• Updated haversine statistics (rdocumentation and RSiteSearch()), ggplot2 statistics
• Minor changes to spelling, capitalisation, punctuation, language.

I agree, they were not around when that content was written and I would say have advantages over other options.
