There are implications ofc. It will affect your Azure bill for sure, Azure SQL is cheaper.
Also, it may not be worth your while just for this feature.
On the other hand, it may open up some doors for other database management tasks as well.

Hi Jeff,
In the stream, you were talking about options to run a stored procedure on a schedule (the Azure way). Although it's true that Azure SQL doesn't have SQL jobs (publicly), Azure SQL Managed Instance does. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/managed-instance/job-automation-managed-instance?view=azuresql
