Please ensure that a preferred citation is easy to find #37

People are going to be using this software (and the notebooks and plugins) as part of their research, and we want to be able to measure the impact of that. Part of that is making it easy to properly cite the software.

Please make sure the docs and repositories all make the preferred citation obvious.

The easiest way to do that for repositories is likely to be including a CITATION file: c.f. https://citation-file-format.github.io/

We should probably look at publishing bug releases of this to the CSIRO DAP so that they can have DOIs for people to cite. I know it's a bit of extra paperwork, but it will pay off in the long run
