Merge master into llvm-svn-compatible and update it for API changes #187

I haven't checked: does this build against LLVM 7?

The current plan is to make a release that is compatible with LLVM 7. If this commit moves master past LLVM 7 compatibility, it will need to be handled later.

Oops, sorry; I see that this merges master into llvm-svn-compatible, not vice versa. Apologies for my confusion.
