Loading state #5

We need loading state management (status and visual) for the front end while the event data is fetched.

This app will always have an amount of load time required - I'd really like to do a really nice loader. Maybe an svg with some fancy animations? If you want to put something functional but a little less visually appealing in place as a stopgap, I'll happily make another issue for prettifying it in the future.

Okay - there is at least a loader now. Going to leave this issue open in case anyone wants to spiff it up.
