Closed-Source library involved - Please adapt description and License Terms #6

Closed florom closed 3 years ago

Hi,

you state that you include " Integration of existing Open-Source Software! Using the great Gantt-schedule-timeline-calendar and many more libraries " This is wrong. For details read:

https://help.nextcloud.com/t/app-schichtplan-requires-license/126144

In the documentation here and on https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/shifts

Please adapt your descriptions accordingly.

@csoc-de Please update a description or delete this app immediately. In my opinion, you cannot use my library in the nextcloud environment because it does not comply with the license terms.

fkirchesch commented 3 years ago

Hello, i will update the Description immediatly so that it states to buy a commercial license when used in a commercial environment.

Now personally i thought that because Nextcloud states in their documentation: "Apps must be licensed under AGPLv3+ or any compatible license." (https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/developer_manual/app_publishing_maintenance/publishing.html) and the GSTC-Library is licensed under the MIT Licensing, a AGPLv3+ compatible License, when used in a non-commercial project that i could use your library.

I will remove the app until this is resolved and i would like to deeply apologize, this was not my intent.

Hello Rafał Pośpiech, i think you forgot how github works as it saves any changes to files.

https://github.com/neuronetio/gantt-schedule-timeline-calendar/commit/37b98fe79656940144e349cb25bb361b4828f9f1

Here you can clearly see what you have previously stated when i developed my app.

As i would like to keep this issue relevant to the original post from @florom i would like you to stop posting irrelevant comments. Thank you

Furthermore im currently working on updating my README to resolve this issue

neuronetio commented 3 years ago

NEURONET Free License is not a MIT license - read carefully

neuronetio commented 3 years ago

@fkirchesch From now on you are not permitted to use gantt-schedule-timeline-calendar software.

neuronetio commented 3 years ago

@fkirchesch You post false informations from the beginning of the case. You use someone else's software illegally and still have a grudge.

pity , it's a good idea to have a nice app for managing shifts and plans.. it should be exist a new repo with a real "Open Source" Licence to have a pretty good possible for check out the actual plan of working .. and also for Security personal for each single Security Employee and or Employee in IT or others.. why should not use this idea to make a real open source solution for NC... like NCDownloader.. as example ..

Hello again, im pleased to announce that i have updated the app with a new method of displaying the shifts. In the new Release 1.8.0 there is no more association to the gstc Calendar. Instead i implemented it using a simple html table with the included drag and drap api. The nextcloud appstore release is currently pending.
