Need page/links to ICSC #47

We should probably have a page dedicated to the ICSC with links to the various conference pages and some mention of the ICSC 2017 in Uruguay.

ICSC 2011 - http://www.incontri.hmtm-hannover.de/de/fmsbw/csound-conference/ ICSC 2013 - Used to be csound.org, no longer available? ICSC 2015 - http://csound.github.io/icsc2015/

  1. ICSC2011 — we can create a page http://csound.github.io/icsc2011/ which redirects to the original site
  2. We can pull the copy from http://web.archive.org/web/20160120111740/http://csound.org/

Were should we put the info about conferences? In the menu, on the separate page?

Maybe we should add a link under the "Community" menu to "Conferences" which would be a new page. From there we can add links to the various conferences and check in with Luis about 2017 in Montevideo.

@kunstmusik I just added the “Conferences” page and filled it with some basic info. I have two questions though:

  1. Do we have some info on ICSC2017?
  2. What about ICSC2013? csound.org is no more, and I put the archive.org link, which should be fine. But are there any photos, videos, proceedings?

I was just wondering about ICSC2017. Somehow I thought that I had offered to host it, although it was perhaps never official. I would be glad to do so. I guess we should try to formalize the application and decision procedure for future conferences, so that everyone that wants a say gets a say.

If you would like me to host it in 2017, we could perhaps do it in connection to a conference/event on crossadaptive processing that we also host in Trondheim, early November 2017?

Hi @Oeyvind,

I think someone have announced in St. Petersburg, that Luis Jure will host the next conference in Urugway. Someone would need to write him about this, because it's about a time for an announcement.

Sorry, no I was no thinking straight, of course, yes I know, Uruguay in 2017. I meant 2018. I would offer to host it in 2018. (but no crossadaptive event then). Sorry for the confusion.

ICSC 2017 will be in montevideo, uruguay, as we decided already in sankt petersburg (at the round table). luis jure and his university will host it, and he announced already the dates: september 29 to october 1. (there is a thread on the csound mailing list anywhere.)

as to ICSC 2013 i'd suggest to contact richard boulanger directly. quite some time ago he said that he finally got the material and wanted to put them online. would be great to have it anywhere.

@oscii Thanks for putting up the conference page! I think the archive.org page is the best we can do unless we get more info from Dr. B.

For 2017, I'll email Luis and you to see what we can find out. It'd be nice to get something up soon as it may take time for visas and trip planning for attendees to make it to Uruguay.

I'd love to celebrate Csound in Trondheim. :) I wonder too if the university here might be interested to host (I spoke with the head of the electronic music studio last Fall I think and he had expressed some interest).
