Import failing #127

I've exported 2 worlds (for experimenting) and got the respective .fvttadv fiiles. When trying to import either of them, I get the following errors (in both worlds). image

cstadther commented 3 years ago

make sure all the scenes have valid images... you may need to reselect the image as the background.

Nedrapter commented 3 years ago

One of the 2 worlds that I tried to export had 1 scene, which I made for this purpose today and no background image. Also what do you mean "valid" images, if I see their image previews on the scene directory, does that make them valid? or do I have to check 1 by 1 each of their paths?

cstadther commented 3 years ago

I'm not sure but I vaguely remember someone using a * to randomly switch the background image

How big is the import file? Can you DM it or attach it here, I can figure out what the actual issue is.

Nedrapter commented 3 years ago

freedich.zip That's the small one with 1 scene, which I made to see if something was wrong with my first one (which is 1.4 GB).

I have the same issue. My file is only 160 Mb but gives the same error message.

I try to import an adventure from Data/adventure/import which correctly shows to select it, but all It does is to darken that window and put a white percentage bar. Nothing else happens. The adventure is 1.2gb, I get no errors, no nothing.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found out that it was just going to take a long time, so I left it there and it took about 7 hours

Same problem with me. I only have 1 scene in the import (and a few actors). The scene does have a large image file as its background. It exported ok, but is failing on import. The import file is 53.7MB. I get the same error: Error importing file Dragons Claw.fvttadv Error: The provided Scene thumbnail does not have a valid image file extension

Luckily I still have the scene in another world. It was originally imported using Roll20 importer. Perhaps the EXPORTER should have failed if the IMPORTER is going to fail when bringing it back in?

Oh, and the imported didn't import anything (except a folder structure). The only error was on the scene import, but none of the actors or journal files got imported either
