Given the ActorName ガドフリー, Discord shows the following:

The Request seems to be sending fine:

Even if I explicitly send the Japanese charset to the SDK ($"ガドフリー Playing as {playerStatus.ActorName}"), it still corrupts:

This unfortunately appears to be a Discord SDK issue :( I've reached out to them for help

Issue is still present in GameSDK v3.1.0
