Jitsi - breaks down with second person joining #15

Open askans opened 4 years ago

askans commented 4 years ago

One person in Jitsi is no problem, but when a second one comes in it breaks down with the error message: Bildschirmfoto von 2020-04-23 13-21-53

This happens every single time. Even though the first times it seemed to work. Nextcloud works fine so far. Rocket Chat not installed

Jitsi is installed on a Contabo VPS: https://meet.askan.cloud

I got the same problem a while ago when both clients used Firefox. Maybe uBlockOrigin or some other Addons caused these issues. My solution was to use ungoogled Chromium https://github.com/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium for Jitsi until Firefox fixes its WebRTC-Implementation in a future version.

Thanks @chjohn22 Tested it with Jitsi app on iPhone & Chromium on Ubuntu, still same problem

Same here - even on 50MBit sync Fibre... Nextcloud Talk works a lot better - but still not as good as Microsoft Teams - how can we fix that?

jamct commented 4 years ago

It looks like a problem with STUN or a missing port in firewall. Which STUN servers are you using?

bjoerrrrn commented 4 years ago

@askans - looks like you have fixed it. How did you do it? :-)

EDIT Nevermind. Reinstalled with default settings did the trick...

askans commented 4 years ago

@bjoerrrrn Sorry for the very late reply, I did nothing as I am not really a tech wizzard, so I am also surprised that it seems to be working

askans commented 4 years ago

@jamct Hi Jan, how can I figure out which STUN servers I am using?
