4 years ago I'm picking album over photos, it makes more sense semantically. Similarly, I'm removing posts as a contended.
blog and article are both valid semantically; a BlogPosting is a child type of Article according to schema.org.
Based on what I'm doing, blog/BlogPosting makes more sense for how I'm using it now, but for a technical piece that's not as much of a blog as a write-up/report, article/Article would make more sense.
That said, blog was the original and since then, food and vis have spun off... for those, article makes more sense b/c they aren't really blogs. For example, the write-up for the vis museum collection visualizations aren't really BlogPostings. For some, but not all, things, TechArticle would make sense... so I guess change to article and have a way to indicate what type of article it is, maybe using Hugo's layouts subfolder structure?... sigh I think it's time to head to bed.
