I'm not using cloud compiler but when I try to update the firmware I have the following message:

"No firmware upgrade possible via WiFi with firmware from the tbd-cloud-compiler.

I'm using custom component code. The WiFi updates was nice to have since you don't need to remove the module to update each time.

This seems to be an issue, I will have a look at it asap...
