icdrama 1.24 - Failed to resolved URL

@cthlo Thanks for working on the icdrama plugin. I reported this issue earlier but seems the problem is still there. All dramas i tried to access has this problem. I've tried uninstalling and installing the URLResolver (3.01 and 3.022) and icdrama plugin (1.24) but the problem persists. I've just tried to installed the azdrama 1.029 and found that there's no issue and it's working fine. I know @cthlo is helping on azdrama plugin as well, so i want to highlight this and i'm not sure why one works and not the other. i'm using Kodi v16.1 Jarvis.

Actually, I'm not maintaining azdrama.

Let me add some details on the differences when accessing the both different video addon, in which may be the problem.

Azdrama.net (1.0.29) -> HK Dramas -> Two Steps from Heaven -> Episode 4 -> Full@Allupload ------------> Picasaweb 360p -----> video plays Part 1/4@VideoBug Picasaweb 480p Part 2/4@VideoBug Picasaweb 720p Part 3/4@VideoBug H265 Part 4/4@VideoBug Uptobox Uptostream Openload

The arrows above shows which option is selected from and goes to. When i select Picasaweb 720p or any other option from this menu, the video plays from azdrama.net

Icdrama (1.2.4) -> HK Dramas -> Two Steps from Heaven -> Episode 4 -> Allupload: Full ----------------------> Failed to resolve URL Videobug: Part 1 ----------------------> Failed to resolve URL Videobug: Part 2 ----------------------> Failed to resolve URL Videobug: Part 3 ----------------------> Failed to resolve URL Videobug: Part 4 ----------------------> Failed to resolve URL

after Episode 4, all the AllUpload and Videobug: Part 1/2/3/4 options will give result in "Failed to Resolved URL". You can see the differences in menu option (for azdrama and icdrama) after the Episode is selected. It may be the issue on why the URL can't found.

Look for something like:

Hello. I am using an android box and my icdrama in kodi keeps prompting ( Icdrama Error, Check the log for more information) when i try to watch. I don"t understand what it means. I have tried to delete and reinstall for almost 10 times but still the same message keeps appearing. Would appreciate if you could help me out? Thank you very much.

Sorry for the late reply. It is the lastest version 1.2.4. But now I am trying to delete Kodi and reset and reinstall again. I saw in cthlo.repo is having a new IcDrama version and it states coming soon. Are you maintaining it? Thank you.

@cthlo: the error has gone away. Now when I click on the episodes -> AllUpload -> there will be a pop up to select the video quality options or source. It's working fine now. Thanks.

I have problem in downloading the 'script.module.urlresolver' and thus icDrama failed to install. May I know is the source (server) for the download not working and thus could do be connected?

@wongcp Are you able to download https://cthlo.github.io/cthlo-kodi-repo/zips/script.module.urlresolver/script.module.urlresolver-3.0.1.zip from your browser? It is possible that Kodi is trying to install script.module.urlresolver from another repository.

If you are able to download it from browser, then maybe you can manually install the zip file on Kodi.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I could not download urlresolver from your repository despite trying many times with the display kept showing the downloading process at zero. I have not tried to download the file from my browser as I did not know where to find the file. It would be good if you can post the link of the urlresolver file on your page.

I attempted to reinstall kodi several times and the same failure happened showing either icDrama Add-on could not be installed (Error or Installation failed) or urlresolver failed two work. I discovered that urlresolver file was missing in the kodi system after re-installation which I thought it should be added to the system automatically when I reinstalled kodi

I finally learned from the internet that installing SuperRepo would add urlresolver file to the system. I installed SuperRepo and selected All files to be installed. After downloaded urlresolver, I updated the file. Then, I installed the latest version of icDrama. I worked and showed a list of dramas but without picture after I opened icDrama. I off and on back my tablet and finally movies displayed this time.

I have tried the hard way and I hope that the above method could help others who face the same problem as me.

Hi cthlo, I have been getting this "failed to resolve URL" also on icdrama. Sometimes the error would be gone in a few hours or a day without changing anything. But yesterday, after I finished watching an episode and started another one the error came up. I couldn't watch any episode at all. I figured I'll wait a little and see what happen. Today I tried to open it again and the error is still there. I tried to clear the cache on the URL Resolver but it didn't help. The URL Resolver is version 3.0.27, the latest from tvaddons. I have tried reverting back to 3.0.1 from your repository and the error is still there. Kodi is installed on a firestick so no antivirus blocking. I also tried going on the site icdrama.se on my computer and it is fine. I imagine not everybody is getting this problem based on the forum feedback. Is there a way to figure out what exactly is causing this problem? Thank You.

I also have the same issue of 'failed to resolve URL'. Initially, the video worked fine but few days ago, this problem suddenly appeared.
