Nancy:

no biggie, but when we play tournament NL 2-7, you can't check, have to raise can call, but first to open must raise, check with Mecklin

Chris:

Traditionally, limping in is NOT allowed in NL 2-7 Lowball. When I've played the game at the WSOP, this has been the case. My understanding is that it was also not allowed in some A-5 California lowball games, although I think the rule on this varied from location to location. Others who actually played lowball in California should correct me on this.

However, when I played NL 2-7 Lowball on PokerStars, even when I could play for money, limping was allowed. I'm not sure if this was a deliberate choice on their part or if they didn't know that limping in was verboten in this game and just never bothered to change it.

Again, as it's your room, your choice. I think the former, where limping in is forbidden in NL 2-7 Lowball, is a better choice but if you choose to do it PokerStars style, that's OK as well.

When I get to this ticket at minimum I should make it so you can't limp, but it probably makes sense to make it an option where the default is no limping.

WRT limping v no limping in A-5 Lo Bah - I believe the distinction lies in whether you're from No Cal (No limp or So Cal (Limp allowed). WRT to KC Lo Bah (2 - 7) I defer to Chris. I'm sure there are locality variations, and tournament variations to induce play v time constraints too.

In light of Gerry's info, I'll make it an option and skip the middle step of unconditionally disallowing the limp. I'll do that for A-5, too.
