3 years ago I'm not so sure about this, as this will create a new primary sample in the system. I would prefer if there was an obvious link to the original sample (i.e. that the rerun sample is a derived sample).
We want a robust and easy-to-track way to handle reruns.
Our idea at the moment is to write a workflow called something like "Create rerun samples" that works similarly to Create Discard Samples, but deposits the created samples in the extraction step.
