This paper https://www.researchgate.net/publication/323223873_Control_of_synaptic_plasticity_in_deep_cortical_networks has some nice data on monkeys trained to distinguish gratings at different angles, and the resulting changes to the V1 tuning curves over months of time. This might be a nice set of target data for implementing things like feedback alignment and other encoder-learning algortihms.
