DoD Summary: successfully able to build an image with wifi, ssh, and the ability to install a simple C++ program (from commit e041873) which prints "OpenSpot closed. Come back later" as of commit 473ed04:

Below are the screenshots of the last time I flashed the image to the sd card and booted on an Raspberry Pi 3B+:

Currently successful at building an image:

Capable of connecting to wifi
SSH enabled
Runs on Raspberry Pi 3

Follow up:

Image with C++ app from external repository runs on startup
