potential language to shorten the course descriptions for Craft& Nature and Hands-on History: The course examines materials, techniques, contexts, and meanings of skilled craft and artistic practices in early modern Europe (1350-1750). Run as a “Laboratory Seminar,” it includes group discussion and laboratory work. The culmination of the Lab Seminar is the students’ final projects where they are tasked with conceptualizing and presenting companion pieces to Secrets of Craft and Nature geared towards other students, educators, and the general public
