Mission planner can't connect when GPS is disconnected from APM #672

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. With gps disconnected Mission Planner refuses to connect.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Two different message i get. Port is too slow, and no heartbeat.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
APM1 ArduPlane 2.34

Please provide any additional information below.
If gps is connected to APM than it connects as it should.
So normaly it is nat a big deal, but as my gps is in my right wing, that i 
normaly store separated, making hard to program APM, and analize flight data.

It is solved in the next release.
