Name + Branding #1

What does everyone think of the name? I thought "Cubicle UX" might have fun branding potential and a bit more personality than something like "Enterprise UX Patterns."

We can easily rename this github org if we decide on something better, but I wanted to get something up and running.

Cubicle UX is fun and light-hearted, but it makes a point at the same time. Maybe the tagline could be "design resource for enterprise UX" or some such for SEO purposes?

Here are a few sketches I've been working on for a possible logomark. Not sure that any of these are all the way there yet, but open to any thoughts on the work in progress. image

Nice! If you are numbering then left to right, my favorites are 2, 5 and 6. I like some of the fun personality of 2. 5 seems like a strong abstract representation, especially with some color added. None of these seem like they could stand in the title without text, that one seems like with text it would feel least redundant. 6 feels unlike other UX logos I've seen, while suggesting a cube wall and the c simultaneously.

Last night I was musing about having a mascot that could be used in the screen shots as the stand in profile, both a persons name and if we need a profile picture, maybe a fake organization too, as an alternative of blurring then out. These could be totally dumb or totally fun easter eggs in each photo (I was pretty wiped...).

Great, I'll keep working with these. Yes, I would see them working in conjunction with the name.

Having a mascot for the sensitive info might be fun. The dog in suit idea is hilarious, might add that "not too serious" tone to site and would skirt any issues of using images of known office characters. Suppose we could fit Cuper's head on a suit body?

Some sketches of business dog avatars: cubedogs

These are fun. Especially like the personality of no. 1 and no. 3, probably the main thing it would come down to is how the avatar would reduce. We could always have a few different business dogs as well. Are you thinking of using an illustration or a comped photo?
