Strawperson ideas:

Put each standard in its own repo and publish git tag versions.
Share the same repo and use the same versioining for all standards.
Share the same repo and use tags like kpuzzle-v1.2.0 and sign-v1.0.1 in parallel.
Don't use tags, but have documents in the repo for each version.
Don't use versions per spec, have numbers for each spec like RFCs.
