Could you expand upon this? I can't imagine what this means.

We should be able to compute things like the length of a given alg, in different metrics. I know qq in particular would like to be able to see alg length and order in alg.garron.us, which shouldn't be too hard to provide support for (since we're handling all the representations ourselves, unlike the current alg.garron.us implementation).

Gotcha. This seems like the sort of thing algnexus should be doing (see my last comment on issue 10).
