Research

When do you want to do research?

More so full-time in summer (40+hr/week), with part-time availability during the semester(5-10hr/week) What is exciting to you about research?

Research excites me because it allows you to pursue important nontrivial questions and solve exciting and open-ended problems. I see research as a way to make a real impact on the world and hopefully help a lot of people and make life easier for all of us. That sounds pretty good to me. What kind of research do you want to do?

I'm open to exploring all areas of research, actually, computer architecture and programming languages are both pretty high up on my list of academic interests so I'd be happy wherever this lab places me, however, the computer architecture side of things is what I more so lean towards.

Background

Was there a paper that particularly excited you?

N/A Which of the current research projects would you be interested in working on and why? Calyx interests me the most since it explicitly mentions building compilers and that's another area of CS I'm very much interested in. Anything else you want to tell us about yourself? I'll be upfront that I lack a good amount of experience so I'll have to learn a lot on the job however I am truly very passionate about the areas this lab is working in and would do anything I could to capitalize on the opportunity to work on these projects. It's been roughly 90 days since opening this issue. We apologize if we haven’t gotten back to you—research openings are somewhat sporadic, so sometimes we don’t have specific opportunities to offer. But more will certainly come in the future! If you're still interested in doing reasearch with us, please respond with "Still interested for <semester/summer>". Additionally, please update the issue by editing it and supplying us with more information, an updated resumé, etc. If you're no longer interested, do not respond to this thread and we will automatically close this issue.
