PLEIO tests a variance component model and generates the variance component estimate, TAUSQ, and its log-likelihood ratio test statistics, PLEIO_STAT, as output values. During a major update(v.2.0) of PLEIO, A fatal bug was emerged. PLEIO recognized TAUSQ estimate as PLEIO_STAT, which caused PLEIO to report wrong PLEIO_STAT and its p-value.
This issue affected all users who updated and used PLEIO from January 11, 2022, to March 15, 2022. Please update your code and re-analyze for those of you who performed PLEIO analysis during the above period.
