Issue with Privacy Mode and WidgetLocker #206

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable SMS Popup's 'Privacy Mode'
2. Install and enable WidgetLocker.
3. Enable the Pattern lock in the standard Android settings.
4. Lock the phone.
5. Receive an SMS and click 'View'.
6. Nothing happens. Need to press Back to remove the popup box and unlock the
phone, then open the Messaging app manually/via notification.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect the phone to either display the normal Android pattern lock, or
the WidgetLocker lockscreen then pattern lock before letting me view the
message in the SMS Popup box.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
HTC Desire running Android 2.2.1, CyanogenMod-6-11072010-NIGHTLY-Desire ROM
SMS Popup 1.0.9
WidgetLocker 1.2.8

Please provide any additional information below.
Guessing that SMS Popup is looking for the standard lockscreen when you hit
View, but can't find it, since WidgetLocker is in the foreground, so it does
nothing.

I should add that this feature works correctly without WidgetLocker enabled, so
it's not an issue with the nightly/unofficial ROM build I am using.

I have a similar issue.

In my case, rather than using 'Privacy Mode', I'm displaying the text message
in the popup, and clicking 'Reply' with no result. Have to click 'Close' or
'Inbox' to get the pattern unlock screen.

Running:
Android 2.2 on HTC T-Mobile G2
SMS Popup 1.1.0
WidgetLocker 2.0

A fully revamped version of SMS Popup is now available in the Google Play
Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.everythingandroid.smspopup

I am closing out all old issues/bugs that relate to SMS Popup <=1.10 as so much
was changed in this version. Please create new issues if you see them in the
latest update.
