Messages are not being marked read #290

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Disable notification in status bar on Samsung Galaxy Ace
2. Activate "mark messages as read on..."
3. Go for it! Messages are still being displayed as unread in the standard 
message app.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Android 2.3.3 / Samsung Galaxy Ace
