Determine, configure, and map list of Item Types #26

Open jwfuller opened 3 years ago

jwfuller commented 3 years ago

We need to create a list of Item Types to build out in FOLIO. This is being tracked in a Google Sheet

We need to get additional input from

jwfuller commented 3 years ago

Types that we currently know we want to migrate have been entered in FOLIO.

jwfuller commented 2 years ago

@JuleahS Added a tab into the spreadsheet with what types Acquisitions needs

libraryfemme commented 2 years ago

On the spreadsheet, when it says "cleanup," does that mean we aren't keeping the item type? I see a few ILL item types that we still need that say "cleanup." @CUSeif

CUSeif commented 2 years ago

More that it can be cleaned up. Perhaps combined with another item, etc. Delete are the ones we aren't keeping.

jwfuller commented 2 years ago

@libraryfemme Clean up means either that we don't want it or we need to need to investigate further. What Types do you need to migrate?

libraryfemme commented 2 years ago

@jwfuller For ILL Borrowing, we need to keep Item Type 73 (ILL Borrowed Materials). I need to consult with Claire and with Lisa to determine which Prospector item types and ILL Lending item types we need. Does Claire have an account in here?

Shared spreadsheet with Lisa Tatum and Claire Hoag via Google to identify the ILL Lending and the Prospector Item Type codes we need to keep.

Re: SILLVR Streaming Videos (Item Type 95) says "Refactor." What does that mean? We do loan these and want to keep them. @CUSeif

CUSeif commented 2 years ago

They'll be kept, though perhaps under another name, etc. Just another type of looking at the item types. @libraryfemme

ILL Lending currently uses the Item Type to determine if they can lend or copy something. The codes they use are: 18, 26, 30, 33, 38, 39 (to copy for ILL), 40 (to copy for ILL), 0, 1, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 29, 32, 50, 51, 52, 53, 59, 68, 70, 76, 79. I do not know why there are so many. Perhaps they can be collapsed into one or at least a few.
