This work is being tracked in a Google Sheet.

The list of possible Item Statuses is fixed in FOLIO and would require open source project level changes to be made. The list of possible statuses is

Aged to lost
Available
Awaiting delivery
Awaiting pickup
Checked out
Claimed returned
Declared lost
In process
In process (non-requestable)
In transit
Intellectual item
Long missing
Lost and paid
Missing
On order
Order closed
Paged
Restricted
Unavailable
Unknown
Withdrawn

We still need to:

[ ] Validate all Best guess statuses
[ ] Talk with Finance and Acquisitions to see what this might impact
[ ] Talk with Resource Sharing to see what this might impact
[ ] See if this impacts sending things to PASCAL
[ ] See how this impacts Archives workflows
[ ] Check to see how 8 | Unavailable is used and if there might be another way
[ ] Review the Request Migration Documentation to see if this impacts any of our decisions

Questions / notes for RA Pod:

How will item status interact with item suppression? (and our workflows in declaring items lost etc. - RA needs to consider Discovery needs in mapping and creating workflows)
