Complete EDS Catalog Questionnaire #92

Once the EDS contract is signed, we will be assigned a Project Coordinator, who will help us with the implementation process. One of the things they will need is a completed EDS Catalog Questionnaire, which details MARC mapping, patron empowerment, authentication, and other setting configurations for Discovery. Dependent on #38 and #104 .

FYI - I am looking at EDS in relation to ILL today. When is the deadline for the questionnaire?

Its at the end of this month, but I don't think there any ILL questions for you to answer? Unless there are ones I'm not thinking of, in which case could you list them here?

ILL will need to weight in on "Pick Up Service Points," but that is labeled for the RA pod. Have questions 16 and 17 already been decided? @nleboeuftrujillo @jwfuller

Pick Up Service Points - ILL loans that we get from other libraries are sometimes picked up at locations other than Norlin. This has been turned off since the pandemic started, but we want to start it up again. Presently, we place a hold on ILL loans and designate the pick up location in Sierra so that, for example, an ILL can be picked up at the Earth Sciences library instead of Norlin (which is the default). Should the service point for those be ILL or should they be the location where it's picked up?

Ahh, I see. We do not need to send that information in by the end of this month; we can send our patron empowerment information in at a later date. I will a) Add your service point comment to the questionnaire and b) Figure out a time frame for when we will submit the patron empowerment items (I'm going to guess April for now, but I'll need to reach out to James and the EBSCO rep for more info)
