Sample Lists that Map Library staff will want (not all inclusive):

· Number of maps cataloged during XX period

· Maps cataloged by particular catalogers, based on their initials (MARC 946)

· Maps located in PASCAL

· Maps in each sub-location in the Map Library

· Maps used in our instruction program (MARC 590)

· Maps in named collections (MARC 793)

· Map gifts by certain donors (MARC 541 and 700)

· Maps with on-the-fly status

· Maps with no coordinate information (MARC 034, 255)

· Maps with different call number (LC or GOV) (MARC 086, 090, 050)

· Maps with series headings (MARC 490, 830)

· New maps ordered within XX date period and not yet received

· Need ability to search local notes

· Need to find old fields that are no longer used in current cataloging practice (like MARC 507)

· Maps that are missing

· Maps that are withdrawn

· Ability to create a list from any item note fields

· Maps ordered through certain vendors (vendor code and vendor note)

· Depository Maps whose records are still shipping list instead of full bibs
