Hey, hi. This is the guy from the organization picture. Yes, I do still have that sweater. It's a sweater from highschool, if you must know. Yes, I have finally changed my hair cut. No, it's not fancy, but I think it looks better, if you must know.

So I came across this Github account when trying to add my cune email to a different Github account (if you must know. (<-- this phrase is my new theme for this post)), and then I logged into this account and found that the OG CS Club people had made a GitHub repo. First of all, nice work. Sorry I didn't notice it before. Second, I see that someone added some animals, but those animals were not presented in a graphics team meeting to my knowledge, but the building was. So if the person who uploaded the building has the double OG animal images that were presented at a graphics club meeting, please share them. I made them and wanted to create more of them in the block style, but don't remember what it looked like (I was an actual artist back then. Now, not at all, if you must know). Third, props to adding poop.png. it wasn't discussed, but it is officially approved.

Finally still monitor your GitHub, received a notification, and read through all of this, then this message is for you. If any of you would like to make something, let's open it up for discussion. At this time, I'm a C# web developer and have some experience w/ angular (I don't claim to be good, but good enough to maintain a job :)). I currently am working off and on on a clicker game in js/html that I was intending to inject into my company's sites as an Easter egg after they enter the Konami code. I would be happy to open that up for public development if that's of interest. I would also be happy to work on a real world problem.

Let me know your thoughts.

Triple OG CS club member, Caleb

Hey Caleb! I wasn't expecting to wake up to an email in the GOATed cuneCSClub/Pandamonium repository, but it was a welcome surprise. I'd be interested in any kind of collaboration. I mainly work in OpenEdge ABL (I'm sure you're fond of that) but I don't advise pursuing a project with that in any shape or form. I haven't found a love for JavaScript yet, but the world has, so I'd be interested in picking it up as we go if that's the choice.

My alternative proposal would be a python project that scrapes observed environmental data from the National Weather Service and uses that to create wind profiles in the form of hodographs. I know that's probably already done through libraries today, but I love reinventing wheels.

Thanks, Joel

Hey Joel,

I'm excited that you saw a notification!

"Fond" of Openedge ABL may be exaggerating a bit more than one third of a whole. It's kind of a neat way to combine DB querying w/ procedural programming, if I recall correctly. But "fond"? Out of respect and empathy for you, my response to that is, "sure". I do have fond memories of working where the Future is Foam. I hope all is well with you there!

C#/TS/JS is my comfort zone, but I am open to another technology. I actually do still do some work in Python and subject Meghan to it at Foundation. It's not something that I know any "best practices" for, but it's something that I am open to, preferably with the use of typing.

I'm also open to reinventing the wheel. I'm not knowledgeable in hodographs, and didn't know what they were until a minute or two ago. it sounds like some math could be involved , which is an area I'm weak in, but it would be an interesting project.

I don't have any particular goals in mind, other than having some fun learning and making something. If hodographs are of interest, then let'd discuss your vision more. I suggest we wait ~1 week before diving deeper into any one topic in case someone else jumps in to the comments.

Is discussion more suitable in a discord chat or something else?

Caleb
