Hi @r-a-y and @christianwach - A heads-up that I have created a new branch on this repo, 1.0.x. I'm going to start working on a couple things that I think are going to wait until Commons 1.9, and I want to be able to work on and test them without disrupting the ability to make minor fixes in the 1.8.x series.
Things that should go into 1.8.x on the Commons should go into 1.0.x here (as well as master). If you don't want to bother with it, feel free to continue to work on master, and I'll do the cherry-picking :) Thanks!
