Problem with Gtalk / Gmail notifications

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Gmail
2. Switch tab
3. Get 2 Gtalk messages in a row or click the Gtalk notification or switch to 
Gmail tab

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Sometimes, when I'm not on the Gmail tab and I get Gtalk messages, I get an 
alert popup containing the following text:
TypeError: window.animateCloseAlert is not a function
This alert does stay on screen until I click the OK button.
And I get multiples alerts when I get multiple messages.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.2
Firefox 17 beta
Windows 7 x64

Please provide any additional information below.

1.2.0.1 works for me as well, had the same problem after I downloaded the 
add-on trough the FF add-on website.

FF 18.0.1 on Windows 8
