Embargo expiration

bess commented 7 years ago

@shanitajohn I don't see the example that's referenced above. Can we clarify the requirements here? When does a student get an email? At 60 days and at seven days before expiration? What should the report that goes to super admins look like?

Hi Bess, Shanita.

The current system has 3 email notifications that are sent to students: 1) Your ETD embargo expires today; 2) Your ETD embargo is expiring in 7 days; 3) Your ETD embargo is expiring in 60 days.

Here is the sample language in the email:

"Dear Lydia McCormick,

You were notified on 2017-04-09 that your ETD access restriction was expiring. We have not been informed that you wish to extend your access restriction period and therefore your dissertation or thesis is now available in full text form in our repository.

Your dissertation or thesis can be accessed in the Emory University ETD Repository at: http://pid.emory.edu/ark:/25593/g0mg8

If you need your record to remain restricted/embargoed, please contact etd-help@listserv.cc.emory.edumailto:etd-help@listserv.cc.emory.edu or reply to this email with your request.

FOR AUTHORS WHO ALSO SUBMITTED TO PROQUEST: To extend your access restriction/embargo in the ProQuest database, you will need to contact ProQuest's Author Relations department to request they extend your embargo. You can reach them at 1-800-521-0600 ext. 77020 or via email at disspub@proquest.commailto:disspub@proquest.com."

==== Super Admins get this kind of report:
