[I7-1976] [Mantis 2012] Glulx sound/figures with blank pathnames cause internal error #108

Description :

This worked in old versions... but I'm not sure if it worked in 6L*.

Steps to reproduce :

There is room.

Figure null is the file "".
[also]
Sound null is the file "".

Additional information :

Problem. An internal error has occurred: empty intermediate pathname. The current sentence is 'Figure null is the file ""' ; the error was detected at line 40 of "inform7/Chapter 3/Filenames.w". This should never happen, and I am now halting in abject failure.
