The error message for claiming a number is something other than a number yields "That, sir, is a damnable lie." and no further explanation.
Steps to reproduce :
101 is a room.
Additional information :
I'm reporting this because a friend (and a clever person generally) got this error within her first few minutes of tinkering with Inform; she found this alienating, and it initially left her with the impression that Inform was not appropriate for people without a strong background in programming, since the mistake was treated as too obvious to deserve clarification.
The line is amusing, but it seems like a joke in the place of an error message explanation is going too far; we could just as easily have both.
