Links on a numbered list are rendered literally

Have the same problem with footnotes:

[fn:1] Footnotetext [[https://example.com][LinkTitle]]

is rendered to:

1. Footnotetext [[https://example.com][LinkTitle]] ↩

Seems to be the same issue. Also a Hugo user.
