This is correct. PayPal has added and changed IPs.

It is correct that "Paypal [is] wrongfully reported as hijacked". Paypal may
have "added and changed IPs", but "namebench" is wrongfully reporting the
current address.

Namebench 1.3.1 on the Mac OS X also reports this problem.

Does this impact on how one should transact if at all with PayPal?

This is simply a case of our IP data being out of date. Will resolve.

www.paypal.com is hijacked: www.paypal.com.akadns.net

akadns (Akamai DNS) is a web caching / load balancing service used sometimes by
large web providers. Was used e.g. by Yahoo, Microsoft, etc. (just google for
"akadns.com"). Nothing to worry about.

Is there a simple way to get namebench to use/get a (more)current list to work
off of?

I tried using this software but tons of legit sites are showing as hijacked or
incorrect.
Google Dns 8.8.8.8 in namebench showing

www.paypal.com is hijacked: www.paypal.com.akadns.net
justin.tv appears incorrect: 199.9.250.77
www.facebook.com appears incorrect: 69.171.237.16

This software must be severely out of date, a microsoft site showing hijacked,
which is not, tons of problems with this software

I just ignored it because it's faulty namebench software. No sign of any
progress with the problem so I would avoid namebench.
