Hats should prioritize ascii characters #319

We now have support for non-ascii characters, which is great. The problem is that they are harder to pronounce using an english voice engine. I therefore would like for ascii characters to be prioritized.

@pokey I would really like to have this one implemented. I have looked at the code but I still think that we probably should look at this one together before I fubar it all up :D

Ha yeah fair enough. That code is pretty gnarly
