iastate account issues

Just like last year, we have several users that can't register because their email address is detected as something like this:

mynetid%iastate.edu@gtempaccount.com

This issue is to collect possible reasons and fixes for this. The known fix is to add their account manually to the system using the admin console.

This is more or less an issue that will take care of itself with time, because it is largely due to remnants of the iastate transition to Gmail-managed email.

Suspected causes: User created a YouTube account using their iastate address before the transition. User never migrated to CyMail from WebMail.

I think the first is much more likely. Also we supposedly have code to support gtempaccount emails. If that isn't working we should fix it, otherwise I think this issue can be closed.

We do have code for gtempaccounts, but it would sometimes fail anyway. Though, they made it through the last season without requiring any code changes (I think).
