I created a tagged-samples directory with my example xml file I couldn't get to work in my issue.

I also added a schematron folder where we can start writing tests.

Looking forward to learning more about schematron, not something I have experience using specifically.

I will merge this is -- I quite like the sections first ideas you are suggesting, and if the label/title requirement is dropped for these notebook sub-articles then I don't see any downside to using that over boxed-text.
