What steps will reproduce the problem?
Follow the plugin installation instructions
Rebuild project

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is the same as I see in the Maven output, in this case a ReturnValueIgnored error reported by error-prone. Instead I get this error message in IntelliJ's message area:
Cannot run program "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin\java": CreateProcess error=206, The filename or extension is too long
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
error-prone: 1.0 beta
Intellij: EAP 132.27
Java: 1.7.0_25
Windows: 7
Please provide any additional information below.
Works fine with the maven build in the same project.
