funkiness with missing layers #244

Per @krisbulman: 

krisbulman: so, it seems to lag and crash any time i enable a tile layer pointing to a server that doesn't exist

incanus77: that's gonna happen from time to time (missing layers)
krisbulman: locks the app after clicking on a marker and the popup comes up..
krisbulman: yeah
incanus77: so tapping on a good layer, with a bad one enabled
incanus77: really, sounds like anything involving having a bad layer enabled sucks
krisbulman: yep.
incanus77: ok, cool
incanus77: i will remedy that
incanus77: sorry about that
krisbulman: awesome! not a problem at all, glad to provide input

This appears to only be an issue with layers from custom TileStream servers that are no longer online.
