Wrt to the renaming part: yes this is fine. For background see https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/AppData/

Wrt to the other changes: should be fine for Debian, but idk how those values actually impact the software center.

Renaming the files wasn't really required, changing the path was enough and that was already done: https://github.com/cvfosammmm/Setzer/blob/638f4aab4d54f48d2a3410b536c15ad927267d86/data/meson.build#L27 I changed it to match. The changes in the software center are:

Although the dialog title is a bit misleading as I'm using a laptop, but that's propably an issue on GNOME Software side since these changes are following AppStream documentation.
